Updated my portfolio

I've been neglecting my own website for a while now. I think with having so much baby stuff on the brain its really taken over any priority from my actual work. I'm officially on maternity leave now, even though its still 10 weeks away till my baby is due.
I've been busy framing photographs so my baby has all of her family to look at by her cot.
This is just one of them but its my favourite of Martin and I.

The website

Back to my portfolio site. I hadn't updated it in so long and I so ought to so that it doesn't start to slip down the Google ranking. Here is the link to my site where you can see more in depth information on my latest web design creations. www.cr8v-design.com

Argyll Chalets - Changes

Thought I should do a side by side post of what changes have been made to the Argyll Chalets site. (due live this week)

It was a fun project, the site needed a major facelift as behind the scenes it was working on a table based layout design which is something Google bots don't like to crawl, and their current spend on Adwords was a bit extreme.
I spent roughly 40 hours on the site over a period of a month updating the behind the scenes things and then inputting content. I have had a lot of help from my kind and very smart sister Annie Visser. My god is she talented.

She read my content changes over and came up with some fabulous suggestions so as the SEO terms weren't so *IN YOUR FACE* ha-ha-ha. Luckily, she is off for the Summer holidays as she is currently a university student.

Let me get started before I go off on a completely different tangent.

Website is almost finished

Its been a work in progress, filled with love as its a family run business and I am very much part of that family.

Les and Michele like what they see, and I am happy with the site too. Just have a few more new images to add and then it will replace the current www.argyllchalets.co.uk site.

So if you are reading this post in a few weeks time you won't be able to compare the old with the new anymore!

Here is the link to the new web page, which is still very much in the process of testing so please do come to me if you do find any bugs (hopefully not)

Thanks to my sister Annie, for reading over the content as sometimes I really cannot see the wood for the trees anymore!

I am maybe going to head off to visit the Falls of Dochart today, I don't know why but for some reason I have been itching to go all week.

Logo Design #2

OK  I realised I have till 5pm today to get my logo designs in, and I think I need the thistle in the background. I have had some really positive feedback about using the thistle as the 'o' as well so I have kept that for one of my mock ups;

hard edges but white not so visible
caused perception probs in some people
the white text is less visible
My favourite and the text is the most visible.
I hope to hand in the last one here, and link them to my blog in case they want to see my other mock ups.

Going to flatten the ai. and send the PNG file image as I assume it would need to be an image optimised for the web.
Don't forget to contact me if you too need a logo or website!
